Bell's Jade FBCH., Can CD, BDA. UD

February 13, 1991 - October 15, 2007        Pedigree

Jade has been one of those dogs I will be forever grateful for being able to share in her life.  She excelled in every way and always gave more than was asked of her.  I first saw her at 3 ½ weeks and as luck would have it she was the only pup in the litter not spoken for. She, I'm sure, was waiting just for me! After being passed around to a few friends she was quickly given her back to me due to her screaming bloody murder to all who held her except me. I quickly placed her back with the group, I was convinced I was not ready for another pup but apparently she had other ideas. 3 times she crawled out of her box and across the stall to my feet. Her breeder not so politely told me she was mine. I went back the next week to see her again now 4 ½ weeks old. As soon as she heard my voice she threw herself with all her little might against the stall door and barked at me. Needless to say I quickly realized she was destined to be mine and the rest is history

She was pure joy to train; she put so much of herself in whatever was asked of her. We hit the Obedience trials. Making her debut with a HIT in her first trial and obtaining a dog world award for 3 scores over 195. We then ventured to sunny beautiful Bermuda. Again HIT’s and a ton of silver to bring home with us.

2 Years later we decided to give Bermuda another try, great excuse for a trip right. Just off pups and barely 8 weeks before we leave I think I should really get her going in utility. Everyone I trained with said there was no way she would be ready to go with that little amount of time to train. My reply was come on guys this is Jade here. So off we go… again 195’s and a lot of trophies…

She continued on her winning ways in shepherding, winning or placing high in almost every trial she was entered in.
She was also one of the first flyball dogs to run the course in under 4 seconds.

She has left her mark here with 2 outstanding daughters and now even as far as great granddaughters to carry on proving to be just as amazingly talented as she was. It gives me such joy to see little bits of her still coming thru in all her offspring and what a grand legacy she has left behind!
